Wu Xingxue’s arrival to ‘coax’ him surprised him a little bit, in that the other man was very nearly impaled on his sword by the time he came to from his meditative state.Dignified Lord Lingwang’s legs wrapping firmly around the small of his back after the merest instant of kissing surprised him even more, in that he lost all doubt that the other man really was aiming to be impaled tonight.

Note: All Sha Po Lang and most (all except the last two listed) Tian Guan Ci Fu metas were written before I had adequate knowledge of Chinese to analyze specific word usage, please take any such analysis with a grain of salt as I was going purely off of translations.
